That is called inulin, and insoluble fiber that plants produce. This accumulation is more common in roots than in leaves or if a plant is stressed for various reasons, they’ll produce more. Nothing to worry about, inulin is very beneficial in that it helps move the herbal properties further into the digestive tract. Shake well before use.
Herbalist's Message
As with any natural or herbal product, the key is consistency and patience. People are used to quick fixes and that approach is just not the case when trying to make the changes necessary for a healthier lifestyle.
People who use herbs as symptom-relieving remedies will often be disappointed as most herbs don't target specific biochemical reactions to create rapid changes. Instead, herbs work with the body in extremely complex ways to bring about balance in the body.
It is important to note that herbs will not make up for lack of sleep, dehydration or a diet filled with processed and refined foods.
