Herbal Bandage Salve

Calendula oil is an anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory that helps to heal wounds, rashes, burns, abrasions, eczema, acne and insect bites. 

 

Lavender oil anti-fungal properties help to reduce inflammation, aiding in the healing of eczema and psoriasis; reducing redness and irritation. 

 

Turmeric reduces inflammation and helps heal scars.  

 

Sweet almond oil contains vitamin E, vitamin A and essential fatty acids that helps retain moisture and keep the skin hydrated. Sweet almond oil is non-comedogenic, improves complexion and skin tone and reduces the appearance of scars and puffiness.

 

Avocado oil is one of the best oils for skin; containing high amounts of vitamin E and many other nutrients, avocado oil helps to nourish and moisturize the skin, promote collagen production which helps with new, healthy skin growth and accelerates the healing process. 

 

Unrefined shea butter is high in vitamins and fatty acids that aid in softening skin. 

 

Candelilla wax is a vegan alternative to beeswax derived from a small shrub native to Mexico. It has a buttery texture that helps protect and hydrate parched and scaly skin. It is rich in nutrients and is easily absorbed into the skin. We use only sustainably sourced candelilla wax in our salves.

As with any natural or herbal product, the key is consistency and patience. People are used to quick fixes and that approach is just not the case when trying to make the changes necessary for a healthier lifestyle.
