unrefined shea butter is high in vitamins and fatty acids that aid in softening skin. 

 

candelilla wax is a vegan alternative to beeswax derived from a small shrub native to Mexico. It has a buttery texture that helps protect and hydrate parched and scaly skin. It is rich in nutrients and is easily absorbed into the skin. We use only sustainably sourced candelilla wax in our products. 

 

melaleuca tea tree oil contains antibacterial properties which kill the bacteria and fungi that contribute to underarm odor. 

  

arrowroot powder is a non-GMO, pH-balanced ingredient, that provides excellent anti-inflammatory benefits and adds a slight anti-perspirant component. 

  

bentonite clay adsorbs oil, dirt, bacteria and impurities from the skin and helps to remove toxins, lead and other heavy metals from the body. Bentonite clay contains natural minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron, which may provide additional benefits. 

 

diatomaceous earth is a better alternative to baking soda (often found in natural deodorants to neutralize odors) that works to eliminate odor. It is also close to pH neutral which means it won't irritate sensitive skin. 

  

magnesium oil acts as a buffering agent that balances pH to inhibit bacteria growth and calms inflammation.

 

pre-biotics  are a soluble fiber found in many plants that act as a food source for beneficial bacteria. By feeding on prebiotics, not only does the good bacteria thrive and grow, crowding out the "bad B.O." bacteria.

  

clary sage essential oil Its arid, nutty aroma acts as a natural deodorant, and it is particularly beneficial for balancing hormones. 

  

lavender essential oil is a balancing oil with powerful antibacterial properties. It is one of the gentlest essential oils with an herbaceous, floral scent.  

  

geranium essential oil acts as an antibacterial and hormone balancer, plus, its strong, feminine, and green aroma blends well with clary sage, lavender, bergamot, and cypress. 

 

vitamin E oil supports the skin by reducing oxidative stress and preserving the protective lipid layer. Vitamin E also acts as a natural preservative, preventing oxidation of the oils.

Aluminum

Several forms of aluminum are added to deodorants to block pores and prevent sweating. Not only do these aluminum compounds interfere with one of the body’s natural ways of expelling toxins, but they’ve also been linked to a number of health effects ranging from disrupting the hormone-processing capabilities of estrogen receptors to negatively affecting proper kidney, liver, and brain function.  

  

Triclosan 

Commonly used in deodorants as an antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal, triclosan is a known endocrine disruptor.  

  

Parabens

Parabens are often used as preservatives in deodorants and like triclosan, parabens are endocrine disruptors. Parabens may also cause early puberty in children, organ toxicity, and the increased likelihood of developing prostate or breast cancer. 

  

Triethanolamine (TEA) and diethanolamine (DEA)

TEA and DEA are known to enter the skin and damage the liver and kidneys. Both of these are chemical compounds that are used as emulsifiers, and both have been banned in Europe due to their status as human carcinogens.  

  

Propylene Glycol (PG) 

Even a small amount of PG is harmful, and most commercial deodorants have a high percentage of PG. Daily exposure to PG puts you at greater risk of liver, kidney, and heart damage, as well as contact dermatitis. 

  

Artificial colors 

Certain artificial colors can induce severe allergic reactions and are considered to be human carcinogens and suffocate your pores.
